To say that we are operating in extraordinary and unprecedented times is a huge understatement. As I write, Covid-19 is likely to be one of the biggest challenges we will face in our collective lifetimes and my heart goes out to those affected both in the short and longer term.
While I reflect upon the situation I want to send a message of reassurance that, at Volante, our aim remains as it always has been: to serve our clients as trusted partners, and to assure you that there will be no break in continuity of support from Volante in serving your needs in these difficult days.
We are fortunate to operate in an industry where it remains feasible to continue developing compelling solutions in the absence of the in-person interactions that we have taken for granted in the past. Our global teams have settled well into remote interactions and we have been increasing our use of tools such as video conferencing and digital team collaboration. We have also ramped up our live webinar program, to replace the interactions offered by cancelled or postponed industry events such as Seamless, NACHA, EBADay, SWIFT ARC, and Payments Canada.
In this edition we look at some of the trends in our industry in more detail, the growing relevance of real-time payments, cloud, the trend towards digital interactions, the opportunities offered by SWIFT gpi, and the latest news from Volante. I am proud to note in this context, that IDC recently recognized us as a Leader in their Marketscape Worldwide Integrated Payment Platforms 2019-2020 Vendor Assessment.
