Scammers impersonating Volante

We don’t offer loans…

We have identified a fraudulent scheme involving individuals impersonating representatives from Volante. These scammers are reaching out to people via social media, WhatsApp, email, and other channels, offering loans at attractive rates for any desired amount.

When questioned about their authenticity, they claim to be from “Volante headquartered in Chennai” and cite our website as proof. Subsequently, they direct victims to a counterfeit “volante-app” website hosted on an .xyz domain, which is not affiliated with Volante. The fraudulent site closely resembles our official website, complete with our logo and brand elements.

How does the fake app look like?

The scammers engage with victims on WhatsApp, orchestrating a fake “loan transaction” that requires a deposit and the disclosure of highly sensitive personal information. Regrettably, this information is then exploited for identity theft or to abscond with the initial payment.

Tips to avoid falling victim to the loan scam

1. Verify contact information:

Always confirm the legitimacy of any representative claiming to be from Volante by directly contacting our official channels:
– Volante Technologies website
– Volante Technologies social media
Remember: do not rely solely on contact information provided by the fake representative as we don’t offer any type of loans.

2. Be wary of unsolicited offers:

If you receive an unsolicited loan offer via social media, WhatsApp, email, or other channels, especially with attractive rates and flexible terms, exercise caution and verify the source.

3. Check the website domain:
Make sure the website you’re directed to has a legitimate domain. Be skeptical of websites with unfamiliar or unusual domain extensions, like .xyz, as they may be part of a scam.

4. Avoid providing personal information:

Do not share highly sensitive personal information, such as Social Security numbers, bank account details, or credit card numbers, without verifying the legitimacy of the request.

5. Do not make advance payments:

Be cautious of any loan offer that requires you to pay a deposit or any upfront fees before receiving the loan. Legitimate lenders typically do not ask for payments before disbursing the loan.
